I bought a Lenovo P2 One month ago.Now  I’m posting a review after rigorous testing and heavy usage . I have been using Smartphones for  around 6 years now. i have done everything i could possibly could with it.  I rooted as soon as unlocked bootloader, In 15 days that is. So here is my review.

Review In One Word : Excellent

Build Quality

The stunning body of this smartphone is 8.3 mm thin, making it sleek enough to fit easily in your grip. The full-metal design makes the Lenovo P2 tough enough to go wherever you go.

Lenovo P2 comes with Sony image sensor and an LED flash, the 13 MP PDAF rear camera of this smartphone help you capture bright and beautiful photos, even in low light. The 5 MP front camera lets you take portrait-worthy selfies and ‘groupfies’. But Camera’s Focusing is not that impressive. It blurs at times. Quality is not good while in Slow Motion Mode. The Camera app you get when you buy the P2 is Snapit. This is a really good camera for taking pictures but it only supports panorama in portrait mode (not in landscape mode) but  supports sweep for panorama . The Camera offers some Great colors though

Lenovo P2 Shots

Battery of P2 is one of The most Attracting features. I Have got 18.14 Hrs Screen On Time And  11.17 Hrs Standby in One Single Charge. 10 Hrs On Playing Pokemon Go (Best known game for draining battery) continuously. I know a few people who use P2 as power bank with reverse charging method. ?

Fast Charging

It takes From 2 hrs to 2:45 hrs to get it fully charged using Lenovo’s Rapid charger. the time varies according to Room Temperature and phone State.

Did You Know? : Lenovo P2’s Rapid charging technology is faster than One Plus ‘s Dash Charging

Heating issues

The Lenovo P2 features a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 625 which produces less heating. The phone has no heating issues which is one of the reasons for such a battery life. The phone might heat up while fast charging . it is completely Normal .

Ultimate Power Saver Mode

he Lenovo P2 has a One-Key power saver button on its side, which can help you save battery life, making it run longer. All you need to do is slide the button to close all unwanted applications, optimize screen brightness and switch on the power-saving mode. This is a really good feature. especially if you traveling and don’t want anything but calls and messages and  you don’t want to switch off your device. Unfortunately you cannot add apps like camera and music player.

Lenovo P2 comes with a wide range of Software and hardware features. Double tap to wake, VR Mode, VoLTE, Quick Snap, Micro Screen, Cast screen, And the List Goes on…

RAM Availability

In 3GB Variant there is about 1.5GB  Available for use , In 4GB Variant There is 2.5GB Ram Available for the user.

I Must say, Even with 3GB / 32GB Version,The performance it gives is awesome. The Lenovo P2 features a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 625 true octa-core processor and a 3 GB LP DDR3 RAM, making it powerful enough to handle even the most demanding of tasks.

The 13.97 cm Full HD touchscreen of this smartphone features the Perfect View Display technology, so your onscreen visuals look sharp and vivid. With a 100% NTSC gamut, you can enjoy vibrant graphics with rich detail. The Super AMOLED screen technology optimizes the power usage without compromising on the quality of the graphics.

I Have played NOVA 3 and And other High end Games without any kind of issues. Its powerful enough to handle any game available in market now.

Software Updates

The Lenovo P2 is powered by Android Marshmallow v6.0.1 operating system. With features such as, Doze and App Standby, this operating system saves your battery’s power for what matters the most. Not only that, it also gives you access to cards and apps with useful information with just a single tap. You can upgrade it to Nougat 7.0 . Unfortunately lenovo doesn’t provide much updates like Redmi .

Custom Rom

Lenovo P2 does not have much custom roms in Marshmallow. But there are many custom roms in Nougat like Official AICP Roms etc. Lenovo P2 also has Official TWRP Support.

XDA Support
